He won the Quad City Classic in 1995 and the Canon Greater Hartford Open in 1996. He finished 3rd at the PGA Championship in 1987 and at the U.S. Open in 1988. He also finished 7th at the Masters Tournament in 1987 and 8th at The Open Championship in 1985. In 2001 D.A. was inducted into the Illinois PGA Hall of Fame. Weibring owns a golf course and management company.
